Privacy Policy
Giant Mountains collects only the information needed to operate the site, understand broad usage and respond to messages.
Information collected automatically
Web servers may record standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, requested URL, response status and request time for security, troubleshooting and aggregate traffic analysis. If analytics is enabled, the site may collect aggregated usage information about pages and tools without requiring an account.
Contact form information
If you submit the contact form, the site receives the name, email address, subject and message that you provide. This information is used to respond to the enquiry, investigate a reported data issue or address a technical or rights-related request.
Cloudflare Turnstile
The contact form uses Cloudflare Turnstile when the site keys are configured. Turnstile processes technical information needed to distinguish legitimate form use from automated abuse. The form remains disabled when Turnstile is not configured.
Tool inputs
Mountain comparison selections, calculator values and explorer filters are processed in the browser where practical. Giant Mountains does not require an account to use these tools and does not intentionally store those inputs as personal profiles.
Data sharing
Personal contact information is not sold. Information may be processed by hosting, anti-abuse or analytics providers where those services are necessary to operate the site, and may be disclosed when required by law.
Retention and security
Contact messages should be kept only as long as reasonably needed to answer the enquiry, maintain a correction record or meet legal obligations. Reasonable technical controls are used to reduce unauthorized access, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security.
