Progression planner
Find mountain objectives that fit your preferences and experience
Build a research shortlist from region, month, summit elevation, activity style and the types of mountain experience you have already encountered.
How the planner uses your answers
The first filter finds mountains that match your selected continent, month, elevation ceiling and activity style. The second step checks broad route characteristics against the experience categories you selected. If a mountain involves glacier travel or technical terrain and you did not select that category, the result highlights it as something to investigate.
What the result does not mean
A low number of flagged gaps does not mean that you are ready for a mountain. Route conditions, fitness, judgment, recent practice, instruction, rescue competence and local hazards cannot be established by a short questionnaire. Use the shortlist to compare candidates, read their full profiles and identify the training or information you still need.
